Clothing Pollution: Is It Impossible To Prevent Or Standardize?

From food contamination to

clothing

Pollution, the pollution that people are exposed to has become increasingly "life oriented".

In recent years, food pollution and diet health problems emerge in an endless stream in China. From Sudan to methanol, from melamine to plasticizers, people have paid more and more attention to food safety.

Then, after the "food for the people", the issue of clothing pollution which ranked first in "clothing, food and shelter" has recently emerged.

As early as 2011, clothing suppliers of Adidas, Nike and other brands were exposed and used to discharge toxic and harmful substances.

In November 20th of this year, the people's website took 20 fashions such as Armani.

The report of "brand is detected carcinogen" has aroused widespread concern.

It is reported that there are 20 fashion apparel brands in the world, which are detected by Greenpeace and contain toxic chemicals and plasticizers.

It includes Armani, Mango, CalvinKlein and other famous brands.

ZARA and Levi 's two brands were tested from two of their garments containing carcinogenic substances called aromatic amines.

Greenpeace says these toxic substances interfere with endocrine and may harm the body.

Greenpeace said that in 2012, it purchased 141 samples of clothing from different countries in 29 countries and regions.

The results are worrying. Most of the samples have been detected with various kinds of potentially harmful industrial chemicals.

There are people who love beauty, but no one hopes to dress beautifully.

And build up your health.

Since ancient times, China has had the saying that "disease enters the mouth".

Compared with people's attention to food safety, the problem of clothing pollution has been neglected for a long time.

In fact, clothing is not only a "polluter" but also a hardest hit area that affects health.

Spin

The harm that materials may cause to human body is mainly the stimulation of fabric's chemical properties to the skin.

The chemical stimulation of fibers to the skin is most obvious in synthetic fibers, mainly in compounds used in fiber manufacturing.

These compounds affect the skin of human body through direct contact with the skin or through the weak respiration of the skin, and even lead to inflammation.

But this is not the most important thing.

The main source of clothing pollution often comes from textile chemical processing agents, which mainly include fabric dyes, various finishing agents, additives, and so on. These chemicals are of skin irritation.

During the storage process, insect repellents and disinfectants placed in moth proofing and mildew proofing also stimulate skin.

Most of the dyestuffs on skin irritation are azo or anthraquinones. They produce a one-time chemical stimulus to the skin and cause dermatitis.

There are many kinds of clothing finishing agents, such as formaldehyde resin used for shrinkage, fluorescent whitening agents used for whitening, and starched treatment for finishing. These chemicals contain skin irritation.

If we trace more to the source, from the cotton production to the textile dyeing and printing process, we need to consume a lot of water, pesticides, and use a lot of chemicals, which will eventually become the pollution of clothing.

Chemical processing agents stimulate skin mainly through three ways: one is the direct pfer of solid matter generated by clothing when contacting with skin; the other is the direct pfer of gas escaping from clothing, and the three is the direct pfer of sweat as the medium of liquid phase.

Medicine shows that many poisons on clothing are even faster than diet.

It is reported that about 25% of the world's compounds are used in the textile industry.

The wet process in textile production, including dyeing, cleaning, printing and fabric finishing, will produce a lot of waste water containing toxic and harmful substances, which will pollute the environment in itself.

The toxic substances remaining in clothing will affect the content of hormones in the human body, or directly stimulate and inhibit the endocrine system, make endocrine system disorders, thereby impeding reproduction, development and other functions, and even lead to malignant tumor and biological extinction.

The terrible thing is that people often notice food safety and neglect the pollution of clothing.

As a matter of fact, our country has not yet established a stricter and unified standard for pollutant discharge in garment production.

At present, there are not only provincial standards, but also some organizations such as Greenpeace.

China is a contracting party to the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants. However, some internationally recognized new pollutants, such as PFOS, commonly used in textile industry, have not been reflected in corresponding laws and regulations in China.

Some of the auxiliaries commonly used in textile and printing and dyeing have not entered the basic safety technical specification for national textile products (GB18401-2003) in China, so they are not strictly restricted.

This reflects the lag of China's relevant laws and regulations compared with international norms.

This has actually given the domestic and foreign clothing enterprises the opportunity to "exploit loopholes".

Our country has just included NP in the list of "strictly restricting import and export of toxic chemicals" since this year. There are no other regulatory measures. The developed countries such as the European Union have already controlled these substances and eliminated them from the source.

When a man is lucky to be a man, he is lucky to be an actor. He is lucky to be a man of honor. When he is a man, he will return to his lungs. He will drag his beak, and he will drag his beak. He will go to sleep. He will go to sleep. He will go to bed. He will have 1 yuan. He will have a good time. Therefore, I called Qin Liu Huan.

Especially in general small factories, there is neither this awareness nor the corresponding detection and improvement technology.

Within a certain range, the state needs to treat the pollution of clothing as a public product, and the improvement function of the enterprise itself is limited only by its own level.

Of course, people's attention to clothing pollution has just begun.

industry

The status quo is certainly a long-term process.

As consumers, don't rush to get new clothes, ventilation, drying or cleaning can reduce the damage of clothing pollution to a certain extent.
