According to the historical data of the trademark, "Bingchuan" brand was registered by Rong Zongjin and Rong Zongquan, two famous industrialists in modern China, at the Trademark Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Commerce of the Beiyang Government on August 29, 1923. At that time, the "Baoxing" trademark of the Rong Brothers located in Shanghai Fuxin Flour Company and the "Red Blue Fushou" trademark of Shanghai Fuxin No.2 Flour Factory also applied for registration; The "Bingchuan" trademark was ranked No. 1 when it was announced. After the announcement of the registered trademark, the Trademark Office Trademark Interpretation Certificate issued by Qin Rui, the director of the Trademark Office, was also No. 1.
In the specific registration content of the No. 1 "Bingchuan" brand of the announced registered trademark, there is a decision to approve it in accordance with Article 4 of the Trademark Law; The time when the registration certificate was issued was August 29, the 12th year of the Republic of China (August 29, 1923); According to Article 16 of the Trademark Law, the term of exclusive use of trademarks is twenty years. The special period of the "Bingchuan" brand is from December 29, 2013 to August 28, 2012. Others include: according to the commodity classification description in Article 36 of the Trademark Law at that time: Wuxi Maoxin Flour Company; There is the name and address of the petitioner (No. 58 Jiangxi Road, Shanghai).
In the trademark announcement at that time, it was also stated that the "Warship" brand was divided into four colors: green, red, blue and black. Green is used for top flour, and the rest is divided into red, blue and black.
The "Warship" trademark consists of words and figures. The company name is Wuxi Maoxin Flour Company, written from right to left. "WUSICH FLOOR MILL" is the English translation of Wuxi Maoxin Flour Company; In the middle is the figure of a warship sailing through the wind and waves and the trademark name of "Chinese self-made top flour", which is divided into two lines: "No tax allowance per cent approved by the Ministry of Commerce". According to the historical materials of trademarks, the Ministry of Commerce was first established by the late Qing government in March 1903 to be in charge of commerce. In September 1906, the Qing government merged the Ministry of Industry into the Ministry of Commerce, renamed as the Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce. "Approval by the Ministry of Commerce" means that the production of flour by Maoxin Flour Company was approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the government at the end of the Qing Dynasty. The policy of "tax exemption and exemption per cent" was the preferential policy of the Qing government to encourage and support the development of national industries. English description of the lowest part of the "Bingchuan" trademark, including the weight, specifications and quality assurance of each bag of flour.
The birth of the "Warship" trademark reflects the characteristics of the semi feudal and semi colonial era in China at the beginning of the 20th century from one side. After the signing of the Treaty of Shimonoseki between China and Japan in 1895, Japanese businessmen came to China one after another to set up factories, and the finished products processed with Chinese raw materials could be sold in the Chinese market in a rich and prosperous way.
With the strong desire of "saving the country through industry", Rong brothers started Baoxing Flour in March 1902 to produce machine flour on a small scale.
In August 1903, it was expanded into a larger flour production enterprise and renamed as Maoxin Flour Factory. After several years of capital accumulation, Maoxin Flour Factory introduced advanced American flour milling machines in March 1910, which tripled the original production scale. At the same time, it uses the "Warship" trademark, which is used to ride the wind and waves.
In 1913, in order to further expand the production scale of "Bingchuan" brand flour, the Rong brothers set up Fuxin Flour Factory in Shanghai. By 1920, the Rong brothers had opened 12 flour mills in Wuxi, Shanghai, Hankou, Jinan and other places, and most of their products used the "Warship" trademark. In addition, six other trademarks such as "Baoxing", "Red Blue Fushou", "Peony", "Six Bats", "Panshou" and "Maigen" are also used.
After 1924, the production capacity of "Bingchuan" brand flour has accounted for more than 30% of the national flour mills, which has resisted the impact of "foreign flour" to a certain extent. Bingchuan flour is also sold in large quantities to Southeast Asian countries and some European countries.
